Salome was the princess of Judea in the time of Jesus. In the bible she is the archetypal femme fatale, who demanded the head of John the Baptist as reward for her dance before her father.
In this story, an ambassador offers a severed head to Salome as a tribute. When Salome becomes angry, the ambassador begins to dance for her.
Salome examines the severed head in her chambers, when a servant walks in on her unexpectedly.
- "'Salome' because 'Salami' is a boy's name"
- "Your order for seven veils is being processed."
- "firelight twinkles on a decapitated beard"
- "Uh, no Dad- when I said I wanted head from John the Baptist..."
