Untamed Devotion: Endless Beginnings 3, is a two page Oglaf story. There have been no Endless Beginnings 1 or 2 yet.
It was a dark and stormy night. And as happens in melodrama, the girl has gone out into the storm following an argument with the master of metaphor.
He bemoans his loss "I held a rose, but let it fly away", which his manservant notes is a very poor metaphor. The metaphor contest is at dawn, and the master's fortune depends on winning.
The master rides off into the storm and the dark. But he is back on form the next morning with the metaphor "my heart is an empty fortress of ice", a metaphor of such quality it gives the girl a small orgasm, wins the contest and makes the master richer than ever. Whatever doubts the girl had last night seem washed away, and they have sex in a bed covered in roses.
She asks if the hunky manservant can join them to make a threesome. The master's jealousy "burns brighter than magnesium" but he consents, which, as the manservant notes, shows the master is a great guy and all the girl's friends will be jealous.
This whole story is a parody of of romantic melodrama, from the "3" of the title to the purple prose. The alt texts continue this idea, with dramatic, but meaningless metaphor, sudden jumps in character, and the reference to an unpublished ebook.
- "Passion of Love's Desire!"
- "the love that could not be forbidden is now an ebook that will not be published"
- "Agony of ferocious hearts athunder!"
